Most of you probably know, I have 4 children between the ages of 10 and 3. And y’all, my oldest, Annie, did not sleep the whole night through until she was nearly 5 years old. That’s right – just month before her 5th birthday! I tried nearly every sleep tip under the sun – I was desperate for sleep!
Back in May, I did a series of photo posts on my personal Facebook page – about granny panties. Yup, you heard me. I was sick and tired of having wedgies all day – and having these skimpy panties that didn’t feel good (or look good) on my rear end. I WAS FINISHED! I wanted some granny panties – the kind that actually covers your backside and makes you feel supported! So here is my official review of all the granny panties I tried!
It’s really easy to SAY you want to establish a new habit – we say it all the time:
- I’m going to start exercising!
- I’m going to get up early!
- I’m going to take a shower!
- I’m going to take my supplements!
- I’m going to wear clothes today!
And we do okay…for like 3 days. Then we totally bomb it in The Marcels Blue Moon style.
Why is it so difficult?
Why do we say that we want to do new things, but we don’t follow through? Is it because we don’t have any willpower?
Possibly, but I think it comes down to self-discipline. Which really isn’t the fun answer, is it? I’m known for giving the Not Fun Answer. Sorry.
So, I want to share with you guys something that has made it easier for me to develop a new habit once I decide it is a priority for me.[Read more…]
You only need to do 5 productive things, every single day, to be successful in this thing we call LIFE. That’s a pretty bold statement, but I think it might actually be an accurate one. But it sure does make you wonder…what are those five things?!
Way back in the era of magazines (dude, did I just actually say that?) I found this amazing article in Parenting magazine (I’m lol-ing at this entire first paragraph) all about how to get your kids to eat a variety of things by using muffin tins – hence the name muffin tin lunch (super creative, right?)
Just in case y’all were curious…this post topic about communicating with a busy spouse was actually Barry’s idea. Barry is very busy and so am I. But that doesn’t mean we can skip the communication aspect of our relationship. It’s crucial to any healthy relationship – especially a marriage – to have consistent communication.
My hobby, during the hotter months of the year, is to avoid turning on the oven whenever possible. However, the people like to eat in our home – and they LOVE nachos. Baked potato nachos are super easy, and a nice alternative to the standard pub fare. That said, you have permission to save this recipe until it’s not the temperature of Hades each day if you feel like I do about using the oven during summertime.
We’re going to talk about money and Network Marketing (MLMs), friend. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a fun ride.
First off, let’s get on the same page about the definition of what network marketing (often called “multi-level marketing” (or MLM) actually is. (note: I’ll use the terms “network marketing” “multi-level marketing” and “MLM” interchangeably.) Just like every other kind of business out there, there are good ones and bad ones. A good MLM sells legitimate products and has a large percentage of its customer base that simply buys those products for their personal use.
I can tend toward pessimism. That shocks most people when I say it because I normally have an upbeat attitude and I’m always making jokes. But it’s true – I pretty regularly look at the glass half empty. Thankfully, I have found one small action can change your entire day. What is that one small action? Keep reading. What is our goal with that small action?
Y’all may or may not know this… but when Barry and I first got together, we were both significantly larger than we are now. We both lost a fairly decent amount of weight before we were married and in the early years of our marriage. I used to weight nearly 170 pounds and Barry weighed over 300 pounds at one point in his life. I have lost a good bit and Barry is down around 200 pounds. How did we do it…?
