3-Gift Christmas
I was asked to share the gifts that we got our kids for their 3-gift Christmas, so here’s a quick run-down of those!
If you’re lost, see this post on what a 3-gift Christmas is.
I work really hard at getting meaningful things for everyone on my list. I keep a note in my phone through the year and write down ideas that come to me based on what they say or what I hear from other people.
So by the time Christmas rolls around, I usually have a pretty good idea of what we’re going to get for them.
Annie
Gold: a jewelry cabinet with mirror
She didn’t actually ask for this one, but it was a need she had. And she LOVES IT!!! It was a huge gift win this year!
Frankincense: Walk the Talk by Danae Dobson (I got mine on eBay.)
Myrrh: white roller skates
She has been asking for these for MONTHS. She plans to paint them.
Andy
Gold: a Ukulele
He joined a class for beginning praise band this year and is LOVING it. This was his preferred instrument so it was another big win!
Frankincense: Little Pilgrim’s Progress (Illustrated)
Andy has LOVED this book since he was little, and even though it’s a little under his reading level, he was thrilled with this copy and read it immediately. Highly recommend.
Myrrh: House shoes (purchased from Burlington Coat Factory)
He’d been asking for these for months.
Eli
Gold: A guitar
He’s in the same class as Andy and was using a really old low-quality guitar, so we got him a nicer one. BIG HIT!
Frankincense: The Biggest Story Bible Storybook
I love all of Kevin DeYoung’s books, so I wanted to add these to my kid’s shelves. So beautiful and such a wonderful read.
Myrrh: Bigfoot house shoes (Walmart)
When one child gets house shoes, they all need house shoes. 😉
Ruthie
Gold: Echo Dot for kids
This was a risky buy – but we went with this one with all the parental controls and SHE LOVES IT!!!!! It lets her play music and set alarms. It was a big yes for us!
Frankincense: The Biggest Story
This is a step-down from Eli’s book.
Myrrh: Bunny house shoes (Walmart)
Yup. You guessed it.
We feel like we hit the nail on the head with all our kids this year! Which item is your favorite?
** Amazon affiliate links are included, but that’s where I also purchased my items unless noted.
Soli Deo gloria,
Stacy

My 9yo has those bunny slippers and they’re holding up well so far. She’s had them for a few months and wears them pretty much every waking moment at home.

Good to know! Thank you!
Constance Rush says
Such thoughtful gifts!! Do you do stockings for your family?
Stacy Myers says
Yes ma’am. I talked some about that on the 3 gift Christmas post if you want to see it. <3
Brigitte says
Thanks for sharing. Love your 3 gift idea. Reminds me of my childhood. All our gifts were things we needed and we were happy with them.
Stacy Myers says
Having needs fulfilled is a wonderful thing!
Jen Lehr says
I love this approach! You picked great gifts. And I’d love to see a pic of Annie’s roller skates after she paints them!
Stacy Myers says
I will post them!
Karen Carter says
All great gifts! My favorite would be the jewelry cabinet/mirror just because I want one!
Stacy Myers says
It was a last minute idea, but turned out well!
Barbara Nethers says
Did Barry make Annie’s jewelry cabinet?
Stacy Myers says
No, not with the holiday, the kitchen, and whatnot. He didn’t have time.
