Did Grocery Budget Bootcamp Save Me Money?

A GBB review

In the fall of 2023, we sat down to do our budget and I saw on paper that the last month we had spent $1400 in groceries for the 6 of us …that was $200 more than my budget for the month and $400 from where I really wanted to be.

I consider myself a frugal person – I used to teach frugal living workshops…it was how I started sharing online. But I didn’t feel like I was spending on unnecessary items – I was TRYING to do a good job and I just really felt overwhelmed at the amount I was spending.

I didn’t think I could do better, but I knew I could find help. After all, we are saving up for a newer version of my 2008 van and $200-400 a month would put a sizeable chunk in that savings.

Tiffany at Don’t Waste the Crumbs has been a personal friend of mine for many years – I knew she had a Grocery Budget Bootcamp available, but I had never taken it. I didn’t think I “needed” it and that was my pride speaking.

So I bit the bullet and bought the middle range course – I believe it was around $140. I wanted it for the video option. Since I was paying for it from my grocery budget, I didn’t want to swing for the top tier, but I bet it’s fabulous.

Guys, I made my money back THE FIRST MONTH after taking the Bootcamp…and I continue to make that each month! I’ve been saving the $200-400 each month that I wanted to save! I can vouch that the program works if you:

  1. Do all the modules

  2. Put it into practice

Here are a few of the ideas that Tiffany teaches that had the most impact on me.

  1. Food waste. I really didn’t realize how much food I wasted on a monthly basis. But it was a sizeable amount. I started planning meals more strategically around what I had to use up and it has made a big difference.

  2. Prioritize your desires. For us, that means we want organic/grass-fed dairy and meat. In order for me to make that work, I had to do the digging and find the best places, times, and stores to purchase from.

  3. Create a stock-pile using a beans-and-rice meal plan from time to time. I don’t know why I  had never thought of this before but I literally almost had a brain explosion when she helped me with this!

When I tell people how much I love this program, their first question is: but what if I”m on a special diet?

And that’s the best part about Tiffany’s course – it doesn’t matter what type of diet you eat, this will help you. She doesn’t make it diet specific. She makes it SAVINGS specific. You do the work making it your own.

I love this program so much that I’m an affiliate for it – I always make sure to tell people so they know. Yes, I paid for my program from my own pocket – but when you use my link, I make a commission. So, thank you.

***This program is only live 2 times per year because Tiffany teaches the classes. You can use this link or the links above to get notified when it opens in April 2024.

Soli Deo gloria
