Yoplait Smoothies

When I first started my blog, I became a member of My Blog Spark. This is a program for bloggers that allows them to take surveys to see if they qualify to test certain products. I was invited to join when I was asking companies for coupons to give out to you guys.

I finally qualified to do a test! I was so excited! Annie and I danced around the kitchen. She had no idea why, but she sure did enjoy it. Yoplait wanted me to try out their new frozen smoothies. They sent me two coupons for free smoothies and Kitchen Aid sent me a NEW BLENDER to try them out on!!!!!!!!!  Thank you My Blog Spark! Y’all have read previous posts and know how I feel about my blender. Yuck. Let me just tell you that my new blender kicks butt! I love Kitchen Aid! Now I love Yoplait smoothies too! So, let’s make a smoothie and test this new puppy out, shall we?

See my new blender! Isn’t it pretty?? I love it. I thought about taking it to bed with me like a security blanket…..but Barry would have thought I was weird. To make these, all you need is the Yoplait Smoothie kit and some milk. That’s it. Remember last week I posted about how to make your own smoothie; this is a great variation if you don’t have those ingredients at home. You can keep these in your freezer and have them ready to go any time you want. Nice!

One bag is enough to make two smoothies. For us it made three. I divided it three ways so that Annie could have some too. Boy, was she excited! I couldn’t get the poor thing to eat anything else until her smoothie was gone. I’d quit feeding her to do something else and she’d immediately start doing the “more” sign over and over. Add 1 cup of milk to your blender. Have I mentioned that I love my new Kitchen Aid mixer? It’s THE BOMB! Do people still say “the bomb?” Oh well.

Now it’s time to dump the contents of the Yoplait bag into the blender with the milk. See all the frozen fruit chunks? Those white things are chunks of yogurt. This would be a great way to get your calcium in for the day. See, it’s healthy! You can always come to me for a healthy recipe. Please forget all about that Kettle Corn. I forgot to mention that this is the  Triple Fruit flavor. They have several others, but this is what I tried this morning. We’re having the Strawberry Banana flavor tomorrow. Excitement lurks around every corner!

This blender has its own smoothie setting. How awesome is that? For most blenders I’d just use the “blend” setting. Genius, right?

Turn that puppy on and let it go. Barry, me, and Annie just stood there and watched it. We were in total awe. A blender that blends! Amazing! It was into some hard core blending. I think we should get out more often.

See how pretty? It smells really fruity too….too bad this isn’t a scratch-and-sniff blog. Bummer. Oh, and I took this picture while the blender was OFF. Please don’t take the lid off while it’s going. Been there, cleaned that.

I got just a tad bit excited about this smoothie business. I poured too fast and we had a mess. Don’t worry. It didn’t go to waste. Five second rule.

This is more like it! Pour it into your glasses. It’s nice and thick. I like thick smoothies because I eat them with a spoon. Yes, I’ve been told I’m super-weird. I love that I can see the fruit in there……nothing fake going on in my blender.

See! I like to embellish. Verdict? These were delicious! I love making my own, but this is a great product to have for those  times when I’m out of fruit. I will definitely be buying these again when they’re on sale and I have a coupon.

Speaking of coupons, My Blog Spark and Yoplait have given me this link so you guys can go and print two $1.25 off ONE coupons for Yoplait Smoothies. They regularly go on sale at Kroger for $1.99, so that would make them a really great deal!  You know I like a good deal, and I definitely wouldn’t tell you to try something that I thought was too expensive. They are a great value and a great taste! I can’t wait to eat another one tomorrow….and more with my two printed coupons! Score for Yoplait, Kitchen Aid, and My Blog Spark. Thank you all!

Okay, sit down. Are you ready for this? My Blog Spark, Yoplait, and Kitchen Aid have given me another prize pack to give away to one of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s like Christmas!!!!! I thought I was excited to get mine, but I’m even more excited to give one to you guys! This giveaway includes a Kitchen Aid Blender and two coupons for FREE Yoplait Smoothies. Whew! I need a cold shower.

Erinn, it’s the actual picture. It’s not currently working, but I’ve emailed Yoplait about it. I should hear back soon and I’ll let everyone know.

Can’t print the coupon . . . says I’ve already printed the number allowed. Am I missing something?

Stacy, congratulations on your acceptance into the Kitchen Aid testing family!! It IS just like Christmas. If I were a jealous person, the “Green Eyed Monster” would certainly be running rampant. As it is, I am simply celebrating that a worthy cook like you has the chance. Yay!!!
