so that it’s not taking up space in your brain
I used to keep a paper list of all the books I wanted to read but when you want to read MOST BOOKS, that sort of thing can get a little overwhelming – and man, the mountain of paper! 😉
I had heard about Goodreads but it seemed just like another app to complicate my life – I held off for a long time, but finally decided to jump in when I realized I wanted to see what my friend Crystal was reading. HA!

Goodreads is a free app (or you can also use your desktop) where you can keep a list of:
The books you want to read
The books you’ve already read
The books you read on a yearly basis
I like it because when I see a book I want to read, I can immediately add it to my list without forgetting about it. I can also immediately add books that I see my friends post on the app.

Another perk is you can set a goal each year of how many books you want to read and Goodreads will keep track of it for you. My goal is usually 4 books a month – I count my fun books, my Bible study books, and even our read alouds for school. Every book counts!
You can follow your friends on the app and see what they’re reading – you can use the search and find new books – and you can even search by what’s popular and the category.

It really is a book lovers dream.
When I am done with each book I read, I love to leave a review – that’s not required but I feel like it helps other people know if they’d like to also read the same book. I appreciate reading reviews so I want to help others.
Consider using Goodreads for 2024 and see how many books you get read!
**I generally only follow real-life friends on the app but anyone can follow my reviews. <3
Soli Deo gloria,
Stacy
Love Goodreads! I sometimes do reviews but not always. I am going to try to do more this year as I fine them helpful myself.
I love leaving them to help others!
I always appreciate your thoughtful book reviews on goodreads!
That’s so kind! Thank you!
