I considered just doing a short list or pictures for this post…but then I realized it’s probably easier to see clothing in an actual video. And because I just like doing video. I need to hire my own personal video crew, because as you can tell – I’m no professional.
I used Project 333 for my first capsule wardrobe and it really helped me learn what a capsule wardrobe is and how it works.
Instead of 33 items, I ended up with only 32….31 if you don’t count my “those make my butt sweat in the summer” jeans.
Almost all the items you will see, I was able to purchase gradually for great prices from the online thrift store, Thred Up. If you aren’t familiar with Thred Up, you can check out my review on that.
I’m super excited about my upcoming Fall capsule since I’ve figured out how it works and what I really love wearing…which is knit and elastic and skirts. Comfy is the name of the game around here!
Speaking of video, I’m now posting stuff on Periscope if you want to follow me there. It’s fun. 🙂 More on that later. My username is @stacymakescents
And now, the video! I love stripes.
Are you on catch for periscope?
Yes! But it’s katch.me/stacymakescents
What a great concept. So will the summer capsule be moved to the back of the closet or actually packed into a tote and stored until next year?
If I had a bigger closet, I would keep it out – but it will be moved to the attic in a tote for space. 🙂
I love stripes too! I’m not as small as you ? but there is just something about a striped tshirt. I love ThredUp but you should also check out swap.com. Sometimes I feel like ThredUp has gotten a little too boutique-y.
I love Thred Up’s selection. I might be a Thred Up junkie. Is there Thred Up Anonymous??
You are so right. Elastic is happiness. ?
Preach!
I love it!
Thanks, Yolanda!
