I’m forgetful at this point in my life….I have Momnesia. I can’t remember as much as I used to – especially when it comes to temperatures when I’m using my griddle. My mom’s griddle has a handy-dandy list on it with the temperatures at which you should cook certain foods. So, to save myself a lot of time and Swagbucks searching while trying to cook, I copied my mom’s list down and taped it to the inside of my cabinet door right over where I normally use my griddle. Now, my problem is solved! Cook pancakes at 375 degrees. 😀
I did the same thing with a picture of a place setting. When we’re having company, I like to make sure everything looks just right….and sometimes, I can’t remember exactly where the coffee cup goes. And if I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it right…..sorta like dusting – I don’t do it right, so I just don’t do it at all. Ha! I taped a picture of a place setting right inside another cabinet door and I use it often. A bonus is that Annie will grow up knowing how to set a table. 🙂 Here’s the link for the printable place setting template that I use.

I do something similar with my favorite recipes ~ mostly herb blends like taco seasoning, pumpkin pie spice, etc.

That’s a great idea too! I keep those in my recipe notebook. 🙂

I don’t really like to dust but I once read (I think it was in a book by the Fly Lady) that “housework, even poorly done, blesses my home.” This has become my mantra. I tend to think if I can’t do a job thoroughly I won’t even start, but this has helped me realize that an imperfect dusting job (or whatever) still will make my home a bit cleaner and neater. 🙂

That’s an excellent way to look at it! 🙂

Great tips, Stacy! Now, I need to make a visual on what settings I should use on my stove for pancakes. My griddle goes over two burners, and it ends up being one small and one big and I always forget the “perfect” setting! 🙂

It seems we both have Momnesia. 🙂
