Meal Planning: I know you.
If it’s not easy, you won’t do it.
Oh wait – that’s me. If it’s not easy, I WON’T DO IT.
Meal Planning Should be Easy, Quick and Do-Able.
Did you know that meal planning doesn’t have to be a big, drawn out deal with color coding, stickers, signs on the wall, or elaborate grocery lists? But hey…if that’s your jam man, cool. I love jam.
I recently did a talk about how to do meal planning without going loco. It really can be easy and made to fit your needs.
So, for a long time I was using a meal planning printable from Life as Mom. It’s GREAT!!!! It’s the original idea behind this printable I’m giving you. But my friend Karen made one for me because…
she got tired of seeing me cross things out to write in what I wanted it to say. Yup – my friends care about me. Jesus is the Bread of Life – good friends are the butter. #bethebutter
Why another meal planning printable?
What makes my printable different is that it includes a section for daily PREP. That has been a game changer for me. How many times has dinner not turned out well for you because you forgot to thaw a certain meat or chop one thousand veggies?
After seeing me post my version over and over on Instagram, you asked me to make it available to you. And voila! Here it is.
So, here’s the thing. You need to choose which option you want – because Jessica’s version is stinkin’ awesome too. And while you’re at it, buy her awesome Good Cheap Eats in 30 Minutes cookbook because it’s one of my FAVORITES OF ALL TIME.
If you want:
- A space for lunches
- A space for Prep
- Stacy’s funny saying: Feed the people. Keep them alive.

If you want:
- A grocery list
- A space for advance planning
- The saying: “We’re gonna eat well this week!”
Visit Life as Mom for her printable.
Now, stop procrastinating and do it. Meal planning will take the guess work out answering the ever present “What’s for dinner, mom?” And it’s easy – so you can do it.
One other thought. I know some of you are here because you need more intensive help with setting up a home management routine that works. Let me help! I developed Home Management How-To to help you take control of the chaos and develop a routine (not a schedule) for your home that will fit you, your family, and your personal situation. Check it out!
