I was given the opportunity to try Biokleen Dishwashing Liquid and review it for you. I love trying new things, especially since we’re moving over to a more “eco-friendly” way of living. I’ve been buying carbon offsets at carbonclick.com and already make my own cleaners, but homemade dish soap wasn’t something I had been successful at making. Actually, I had a couple major FLOPS at it so I knew dish soap was something I’d continue to buy. Biokleen sent me a full sized bottle to try. Biokleen is natural, non-toxic, and biodegradable. The Dishwashing Liquid is hand moisturizing which is really important to me. My hands tend to be sensitive and break out easily. I have to be careful which dish soaps I use, but this one worked great! After using it several days, my hands aren’t dried out at all. It is very gentle on the skin. And it smells GREAT! The scent I’m using is Grapefruit Seed and Orange Peel. I’m just sniffing away every time I wash dishes – which somewhat makes it sound like I’m crying in there doing dishes. |
You use one capful of soap in one sink of dishes. It bubbles up very well. My dishes were very clean and I enjoyed using it. My only complaint about the soap is that it seems as though the bubbles don’t stick around as long as what I am used to with regular soap…….especially if they come in contact with any grease. So, a few times I had to add more soap. I really like having a lot of bubbles and soap power when I’m washing dishes, but even though the bubbles don’t last as long with this soap, I’m willing (and pleased) to use it instead of regular soap. I feel better using it and my skin enjoys the break from harshness. I also used some of it to make a batch of foam soap and it worked great! I like the Biokleen line and I hope to use more of their products in the future. Biokleen products are available at lots of stores, but local to my area they are available at Earth Fare and Kroger. |

No facebook for me. I think the one I’d most like to try is the dishsoap (which is lucky because that’s the one they’re giving away). I like the thought of sniffing my dishwater. I’d also really like to give the liquid laundry detergent (the all temp one) a try.
