I think this has turned out to be a great idea! Unlike some of my other ideas, like Shrimp Pot Pie or white comforters for the kids. I’ve had so much fun putting this Christmas gifts list together! Already my wheels are turning for another idea next year. Let me know if you have any ideas for that…unless it involves vast amounts of time, making something straight on the wall, or scary kinds of glue.
Day 78 – Lap Desk ($9.75). I use mine ALL the time. Since most people have laptops these days instead of desk top computers, these are nice to have. This would make a fabulous gift for anyone – especially that “hard to buy for” college student.
Available at Amazon or mass retailers like Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
Day 79 – Thistle Ridge Soap ($5+ with free shipping over $50). This is our FAVORITE homemade soap. It’s the only shave soap that Barry can use without breaking out. He’s been using it since we were married. You can get a mug and shave soap to make a GREAT gift for any man. I also like using the Oatmeal Soap on the kids. (I’m not an affiliate.)
Day 80 – Popcorn Popper ($20ish) Vintage or with a coupon from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We love our popcorn popper! It’s an old one we bought on eBay…but they sell newer versions at mass retailers. Nothing can beat homemade popcorn on the stovetop! Especially when you pop it in coconut oil. YUM!
Day 81 – My cookbooks in print or digital ( $5+). Yes, this is a shameless plug for my books. But hey, I use them all the time. It would be weird if I didn’t, right? I’ve given them for gifts over and over…and people seem to like them. Or else you’re all lying to me. Give the crock pot lover in your life a great gift this year! NOTE: we are limited on the amounts of Crock Ons that are in print and we won’t be printing more anytime soon…so don’t delay.
Day 82 – Melissa and Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards ($15.77). We use these for school (and in Anne’s Quiet Mornings Basket) and she loves them. I gotta admit, it’s pretty fun even for me. We love wooden toys! Melissa and Doug is always a hit here.
Day 83 – Spirograph ($20ish). I had one of these when I was little and now Annie has one. Such a great classic toy! It’s a lot of fun – and it’s quiet…and needs no batteries. NOTE: the price on this one seems to bound around on Amazon. I would also check Target and Walmart.
Day 84 – Travel Potty Seat ($8.29). Ohmygoodness. I can’t even tell you how many times this little thing has saved our butts – pun intended. When you have a child, this is so handy…because it makes any adult potty child friendly. And it folds up nicely to fit in a large purse or diaper bag. Winner! Winner! I have two.
