I’m excited to bring a new website feature to you guys. Barry set it up, so give him a Woot! Woot! I know some of you struggle with your weekly meal plan…….because you tell me about it. 🙂 I make mine each week for us, so I wondered why I couldn’t just share it with you all. Maybe it will give you some ideas or maybe it will just help you figure out how to do it. I asked if you would be interested in seeing it and I got a resounding YES! Or maybe you were just bored and thought it sounded good. Anyway, I did it…..well, Barry did it. We’re married – we both did it. What’s his is mine, and what’s mine is mine. |
I’ll make it available to you each Thursday. I do my grocery shopping on Wednesday, so I naturally make my menu on Thursday. I know that sounds pretty messed up to you. Shouldn’t I make my list BEFORE I go? Well, not really. I’m going to the store to buy the best deals – the loss leaders. As far as fruits and vegetables go, we’re going to eat what is on sale, so I won’t know that until I get home….or until after I visit the Farmer’s Market. That’s why you might see “fruit” or “vegetables” listed instead of something specific. When the menu is ready on Thursday, I’ll let you know via Facebook. But don’t have a cow if you don’t have Facebook (if you DO have a cow, I have a reader who says she will gladly take them to add to her stock). It will always be available to you on the website. Up at the top you’ll see Kitchen Queen. When you mouse over that, the option for Weekly Meal Plan will pop down. Just click on there, and you have it! Ta da! Barry is a genius. |
What will you see on there? Well, you won’t see desserts as a general rule. For those, I never know what’s going to pop out of my oven….or my head. I bake desserts based on what I have at home. Sometimes I dream about making dessert and I get up and make it. I can’t really tell you that in advance……sometimes I can’t even tell you about it afterwards. “What did you dream about? Well, I don’t know…but it had something to do with chocolate chips and whipped cream.” I will provide our breakfast, lunch, and dinner plan. If there are available links, I will provide those as well. If it’s not a link, I’ll provide the recipe under the name. They will be pretty inexpensive meals, because I just don’t go expensive these days……something about paying my house off keeps me from buying boneless pork ribs…..unless they’re on clearance. Maybe I should look into getting a pig to go with my future chickens…… To see this week’s meal plan, go here.. Is there anything else you’d like to see added to the website? |

I make a montly menu. But not just a menu it is a calandar of event and menu. Everyone evening activites go in the menu and then I add the meals to it. I found that by doing this we (I) stay on track and we eat out less. I even have leftovers in it. My friend has recently started a casserole swap and this is proving to be fun and exciting. Thanks for sharing, now I know I am not alone.
